22-250 is a fine choice and of the 3 guns you listed I would go with the tikka. The only advice I can give on a coyote rifle is to keep it as light-weight as possible. I have a savage 16 and it is just plain awesome. Nice and light and super accurate.

Same here. Of your choices I'd select the Tikka and the 22-250 is the perfect caliber for coyotes. Too bad you're not considering other guns though because there are quite a few I'd pick over what you listed.

Update:

I ordered the CZ 550 American in .22-250 Rem. I chose it over the CZ 550 Varmint mainly because of the weight difference as I do quite a lot of snowshoeing to get to my hunting spots.

Thank you guys

I'm confused why you have to heavy barrels & a lightweight winchester listed:confused:
My choice from the 3 listed is easy, the Tikka big advantage is the clip/mag!
My real choice would be a T-3 Lite, easier to carry, & so close to being just as accurate!

I know it made no sense to list two Varmint rifles and then the Featherweight. The reason was because the Winchester 70 Varmint is above my $1000 budget.

The CZ 550 American is not too heavy and got a detachable mag as well. Plus it got a wood stock which I wanted.

i have a t3 light in 223. it's a great rifle. i'd like another one. I can make hits on my steel target out to 540 yards (so far, have not tried farther yet) but i do find it quite wind sensitive at that range. If long range hits are in order, i would go with a 243 instead of the 22-250.

None of the above...
T/C Venture Predator in Winter Camo $660 and come with a 4-12 scope drop's varmints and grauntiee moa. Can't go wrong ;)
