I just picked up a mec 650 the other day and took me awhile to get crimp right but I have some loads that may leak #8 shot was wondering what I can do to to keep the shot in for using these shells ? shells are the newer AA hulls.

thanks

Justin

Hopefully its not too many, I've used wax to hold the shot in but it can come loose with jarring so I would use up your repaired shells first.

Wax does work; just go to the dollar store and buy a couple of candles. Just handle gently before firing off.

Overshot card should not be necessary, try adjusting your pre crimp a bit lower or higher, if concave, higher, if convex or flat with hole in the centre lower. Candle wax will get you by untill you have it figured. Bullet lube works better as its softer, but candle wax is handy!

I think I have it set up now just wanted a save way to fire off rounds that wasn't up to par on the crimp. I adjusted starter lower and that helped a lot. out of last 10 I think there was one not closed in center. this progressive loader is a different animal for sure LOL
