Kimber Gold Match in blue or Les Baer Premier II in blue

Primary use will be NRA Bullseye up to 50 yards. Currently using a Colt Gold Cup in stainless that is worn out. To much frame to slide movement.

Own a Les Baer ( i am having fun to the 50 yards mark with this one), just awsome, many time wanted to buy a Kimber but mixed reviews kept me away... JP.

Seems like an easy answer! If you are ok with spending the extra money, gonwith the Les Baer. Baer has a reputation for making THE most accurate 1911s. Plus it is a true high end 1911 made with quality parts, not MIM anywhere. You will not be dissapointed.

Les Baer, thats what I thought. I know it's s big investment. I have been saving for over a year and I am close to having enough for the LB. I could easily get there if I sold one of my other guns.

Good call! I have never heard of anyone that was not happy with their Baer. And you can't say that for many brands.

Baer is the best bang for the buck in the semi-custom market. They skimp on the niceties but they generally build solid pistols.

If you want to step up to the limited production market, Baer is the cheapest way to do it. They're no Wilson Combat but they beat the tar out of Kimber, that's for sure.

Colt Gold Cup or Baer National Match Hardball, hypothetically?

For when I have the money to treat myself to something nice with the looks that I like

Decisions...decisions.....must be hell to be you.....lol, never shot either, but would be happy with either....enjoy..

They advertise a 1 1/2 inch group @ 50 yards guarantee.

My gold cup can't do any better than 18 inches bench rested @ 50 yards. Maybe it's because of the .20 thou play in the slide

Spoke with a LB rep today. Straight from the horse's mouth. Not necessary to strip and clean any LB until at least 300rds fired.
All LBs are guaranteed 3 inch accuracy at 50yds benched. For extra cost, tuned 5" steel only models are guaranteed 1.5".
Due to the tight tolerances and hand fitting of slide and frame, don't try and put one LB slide onto another 1911 frame or another LB frame for that matter or vise versa. Won't work well if at all!
Oh yeah, a 10mm is in the works!
