What to do with a bad batch of primers???

My reloading this year has gotten off to a bad start. The first trip to the range I had about half a dozen misfires and as many hang fires. All this from the third pack out of a carton. Opened another pack for the second trip and ended up with similar results. (S&B primers) The third try was with Winchester primers and everyone went off perfectly. So I have about 600 primers that I can't trust and will have to sell to some poor unsuspecting newby. (LOL, just kidding)
One thing is certain, I won't buy S&B again.

That's weird, I've had great luck with them, I have had a lot less duds since I switched to them. Bad batch I guess. I'd ditch that box and maybe try another one before I wrote the rest off. Is there any signs of moisture?

Have you visually inspected the primers? I read on here about some s&b primers that didn't have priming compound in them. Maybe that's your issue too?

The S&B's I got are pretty soft? The brass cupped ones LR/SR. softer than the CCI's they replaced anyways. Should be able to hit them again if they are too hard and they usually pop. Would eliminate that from the culprit list.

I'd contact the manufacturer and have a gander what they have to say?
Maybe the thump ain't thumping 'nuff on the primers?

Others may work, but is there a "sort of" issue on the firearm?

According to the dent size the S&B are softer than the Winchester. Most of them do ignite but many times the kaboom is a few seconds after the hammer falls (what I call a hang fire). Speeds are erratic as well.

Have an exciting campfire!! Actually they are kind of boring if you toss them in a burn barrel. Had been given a bag full and there was no details on what they were. So into the burn barrel they went. Nothing flew out of the burn barrel.

If it comes to disposal, I got rid of several hundred primers once by sealing them into a pipe with a tiny hole drilled in it and setting it on the fish fryer burner until the popcorn noises ceased.
