Obviously coyote prices are in the dumps but I still enjoy getting after them (especially after seeing how many more there seemed to be this season in Saskatchewan).

Any ideas on what to do with coyotes? I've only ever sold them whole. I don't have tons of time off so when I do I'd rather be out shooting them than skinning but maybe this is the year to learn...

I randomly went down the eating coyote rabbit hole on YouTube this weekend. Seems like with enough butter and bbq sauce, it's not half bad. Not sure that's enough to get me to try it with my next downed coyote though.

My comment was actually a ref to a News article about a Restaurant that was caught with Coyotes hanging in their cooler (the actual 'bust' was for having uninspected meat in the cooler, the Media made it look like they were using it in the Restaurant), but yeah, I have seen a fair few Game Cookbooks that had Coyote recipes listed! And Gophers, and Muskrat, and about anything else that walks the planet...

My and my buddy will eat the first and next yote we take down. I assume start with the backstraps, and watch out for any and all glands. Maybe a water soak before if it smells.

Most landowners have connections with the local trappers. Ask the landowner what they want to do with the coyotes you harvest and go from there

Make coyote jerky. Use a ton of black pepper, garlic, and cayenne pepper. Smoke until it’s very dry. It makes great Christmas gifts for relatives and in-laws or that favourite brother in law that knows everything and really likes drinking your beer.

Panda Garden IIRC.

Throw them in the bush, It's totally legal to do so in Sask.

If you don't hold a valid trappers license it is Illegal for you to sell the pelt or even the whole coyote in Sask. IIRC

Grandad's coyote jerky
What you will need.
2 large chunks of coyote meat. I find the back hams to have the most easily sliceable meat.
1 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
1 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon unseasoned meat tenderizer
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Mix all together and soak the meat for 24 hours
Smoke in your preferred smoker at 200-225F for 5 hours.

Serve to neighbors, Inlaws, Co workers and anyone else who says things like "you hunt all the time when am I going to get some free meat?"

Make exotic underwear ladies look the soft fur against there legs and up there crack......the tail is used for that ...the bigger the tail the bigger the price
So now you know

don't bother, was at a fish and game banquet some time ago in which various animals were prepared for consumption. about 400 people attended enjoying horsemeat, porcupine, beaver, etc, etc... and a coyote pie. i think chef was similar to jesus and the parable of the loaves as the coyote pie fed all 400 people with only one slice taken out of the pie.
