What to do with coyotes?

Any ideas on what to do with coyotes?

Make ornamental accruements for liberal housewives and sell them on etsy. :)

My comment was actually a ref to a News article about a Restaurant that was caught with Coyotes hanging in their cooler (the actual 'bust' was for having uninspected meat in the cooler, the Media made it look like they were using it in the Restaurant), but yeah, I have seen a fair few Game Cookbooks that had Coyote recipes listed! And Gophers, and Muskrat, and about anything else that walks the planet...

Cougar.....not the old girl picking up the young guy at closing time.....is the first dish gone at club banquets.

Some people go ga/ga on Bear. Welcome to my share. I can never unsee a Black Bear at a rural dump, running off with a rolled up Pampers. Coyote would almost have to be better. Take your word for it.

I like to get a picture of them, if they die in a fairly visible spot I will likely drag to less open/visible, if they are big ole prime male then I may tube and send off to the tanners, they make nice gifts. But mostly just a picture lol, hate skinning them stinky flea bitten bastards.

Pick them up and dump them in a remote spot you don’t hunt. Leaving dead coyotes all over the area you call seems to be a way to educate coyotes to danger, they’ll become harder to hunt in the future.

Not from what I've seen. I have a dead calf in the pasture that I moved yesterday. Had to bring it in closer to my blind cause the .223 I'm using is sort of a minute of pie plate rifle.

Threw a coyote from last week next to it just to clean up the pasture a bit.

Anyway, had a peek this morning to see if they would get back on the calf after moving it. Sure enough, one chewing away with the dead dog 3 ft away. Just waiting for sun up and drinking more coffee right now....

I always take them off the pile and don't spread my scent around the bait.

Mostly because I don't them anymore educated and nocturnal than they already are. It might not have any effect either, I just stick with what works for me.

My local trapper buddy was banned from skinning them in the garage. Wife’s rules because of the stink… Then he found a market for them still alive. Local hunting farm has a fenced in area with live coyotes and hunters with dogs can test their skills. There’s some culverts that the coyotes can hide in but sometimes the coyote loses and they need a replacement, lol

He tells me the males are pretty easy to get into the cage after getting trapped as they are pretty docile but the females are another story. I nearly split a gut laughing as he (with a heavy Newfie accent) described how his female coyote was jumping and running around at the end of a 1/2” brass water pipe with a noose around it’s neck. The pipe was only 6’ long and was bending in the middle resulting in the pizzed off female getting closer to him by the minute. An entertaining story, lol

Give them to the Hutterite kids to make money. The elders will be happy with you for getting rid of vermin around their agricultural operations.

A lot of guys drop the dogs off at the Hutterites. Psst. wanna know how to get permission to hunt on their their land?

If the pelt is any good,I'll skin them in the bush, never do I take the skin-crawlin' ef'rs home. Even my trapper pals won't take them. I switched from .243Win 55gr to .270Win 120gr BT's and take in them on frontal shots. Pink mist.
