What do you guys do with the hide/cape of a deer you shot? I'm in Winnipeg, is there a place that will buy it or take it? I really don't care if I give it away, I just don't want to waste it.
A couple of years ago,Telesky Taxidermy used to take them and you could then enter in a Draw at SIR for a new rifle. As far as I know that's over and done.
No one that I know of wants them anymore. It's a shame to just scrap them but that's about all you can do with them .
In Southern Ontario there is a place that for $20 you can have it made into leather, not sure the name though my Dad just takes our hides there each year.
I was just looking through the Hunting Regs and near the back I found a note stating that Hides were being collected by the Manitobe Wildlife Federation.I called them and was advised that Telesky Taxidermy was the drop off location in Winnipeg.
Appears it pays to read the Regs.once in a while!!!
