What to do?

I just recieved a Marlin Ballard in a#5 Pacific. 40-70 heavy barrel. 2 problems, has a very nice stock, but left handed; and the bore is rough. I have not had a chance to work it over to see how bad. It has sat for many years. What are my options : rebarreled, sleeve, rebore? Thanks, should be fun whatever. AJ

there has been some used stocks on eBay for Ballards , CPA or Treebone for new wood , ask around some one on here has a few barrels waiting for projects .... or if the project is too much put it up for sale or trade ..............45 cal barrels are more common and more plentiful.

After lots of thought, I’ll probably sell. Just hard to get rid of something I wanted for so long.
