What to expect at Calgary’s Gun show!!??

Noted.
Beside some gun powder and the P226 bullet in 9mm really not looking into other staff for the moment.
Rather to be there and be the part of the culture.
Really like you guys’ feedbacks, it seemed that it will be very stinky !! Lol
Thanks and thanks!!!!!
Really love to be part of CGN’s member!! You guys are awesome.

It's not as bad as some are making it out to be. Set aside most of the day and take your time. As others mentioned, it's huge and it's tough to find something you saw "a few rows back" if you aren't careful to mark exactly where it was.
Definitely know the going rate for items that you are interested in but several of the site supporters listed above will be there and might have mark downs or offer to ship for free if you buy at the show.

Some of the businesses in the city also have sales to try to lure in people how have traveled to Calgary for the show.

I go there to meet locals, see some old friends from out of town, and if I find any good deals great, but that's never the primary reason.
Shoot me a PM closer to the date if you wanna meet up at the show. Always up for meeting more of the local guys.

FoxAlpha,
Will PM you!!
meeting new fellows will be awesome..!!!
Thanks!

What will you see that the YYC gun show?

LOTS!!! to the point of ad nauseam. It all starts to look the same by the time you traverse the whole thing (2-3 hrs). Go back on the second day and stuff you saw on one table has magically morphed two rows over onto another table. A lot of horse trading goes on amongst the exhibitors.

It's fun but exhausting. If you're looking for something specific know what it's worth before hand.

You won't find many cheap deals at this show [if any] but you'll almost certainly see things that are amazingly hard to find online or at your LGS. For eg. I got a .45-70 Gibbs Summit rifle [rebarrelled #1 Lee-Enfield] at this show after every local gun vendor assured me that it would be prohibitively expensive to import one, even if I could find it some where in the US. Got a good price on it too. Someday I'll take it elk hunting... On another occasion, I got a solid retaining pin for an AR bolt [ie not the usual cotter pin]. These are hen's teeth...AFAIK it was the only one in Alberta, never mind at the show or in Calgary.

Bottom line, if you know what you're looking for and the price you want/ought to pay, you may find it here. You can always try haggling, esp. on a used gun. For myself, I stock up on premium ammo, pistol and rifle magazines and parts...I'll be making a fast visit to Col. Mustard for some AR parts and generally having a look around. This show is fun, even if you don't buy much of anything.

Sooooo. What did the OP see at the gun show? Rumor has it, it was the largest to date.

I didn't bother going, been doing that show for 20 years now. Same old, same old.
