What to get next.....

Just looking for opinions on what I should pick up next. I currently own a SVT and am looking to expand. The options I'm considering are a Mosin 91/30, M38, M44, or a Tokarev TT-33. My lgs, has a M44 that I think they'll let go for $300 which seems like a pretty good price to me, but at the same time I've been having a hard time locating a pre-WW2 or WW2 dated Tokarev, which I'd like to get to go with my SVT. Anyways, just looking for some opinions on what I should spend my money on. :)

Doesn't Trade ex have pre war and post war Tt-33's, I think they have a couple different choices or combo deals with ammo. Lever Arms has a lot of 7.62-25 as well so it's not that hard to come by.
 
if i weer you and i wanted to stay with the same ammo, then a m38/m44/m(later year. i forget, but it's just a converted 91/30 really)

I'd get a short version of the mosin... but if you wanted to try something new then I would also throw my vote in with the sks. I have 2 and I LOVE them! cheap to buy / shoot, doesn't kill the arm after a few shots, tough as nails. All around a great purchase I don't regret buying 2 one bit! :) it's a different ammo, but i bet you knew that already. 7.62x39 instead of 7.62x54r. Something to consider. I was out plinking with mine just last night actually. they are a breeze to tear down and clean up also.
 
m38 or m44 if you have a little spare change they are way too much fun... spend half as much and get an sks or a high grade 91/30. I hear corwin arms has some really nice hand select 91/30's for about 200 bones. I love my sks and all, but i just get a thrill throwing that full sized round down range every time.

canada ammo often has sales for an sks and a crate of non-corrosive ammo that is hard to beat. get all the reds you can while you can. The cheap russian party isn't gonna last forever.
 
Thanks for the input guys. I think I'm going to take a good look at that M44 and see what kind of shape it's in. If it's in great shape I think I'll pick it up. Otherwise I'm thinking a M38 from Corwin might be the way to go.

I'll second that. My Russian refurb TT-33 basically fell apart after 200 rounds. The pin that holds the extractor in fell out and then the extractor flew out somewhere, leaving a round stuck in the chamber and the gun inoperable. Total garbage. (I fixed it, but an extractor costs $30. Ouch)

My Polish one works perfectly. Also I am Polish, so I'll just say it's better anyway.
