What to grease on an HP9-1?

Like the title says, just what do I have to grease on my HP9-1?
And I assume oil on the rest of the internals, right?
Is cleaning after every 100-200 rounds streaching it ?

i usually just dry lube the 870 then oil the action.


i haven;t cleaned my 870 in over 300+ rounds...really no need too.

I did that with my 870 and the choke tube almost got stuck. It was a ##### getting it out. I suggest removing the choke and cleaning it every 100 rounds or so if you don't feel like cleaning the whole gun.

on the maring magnum i use dry lube and a bit of grease on the rails and some clp on the action

I use Militec-1 on the internals VERY sparingly, and some grease on the rails. Small amount is all you need!

FWIW

If you are going to use grease, it's only needed on the locking bolt and barrel extension.
