I shoot exclusively on crown land. I have a couple truck access spots like an abandoned gravel pit and an abandoned lease with a big berm along a hillside. Some other spots are quad accessible and a few are foot only unless you have a Sherp or D9. I use a 5.11 Rush24 pack and keep a few full time essentials in it including: first aid kit, TAB Pollak shooting mat, small hatchet and folding saw, paracord, mag pouches and my mags live in the bag (I've driven an hour one way without any magazines, can't forget them if they're attached to you), magnetospeed sporter, cheap Caldwell wind wizard, TAB small rear bag, stapler and staples, 3M Comtac iii's, spare batteries for every electronic (AA, CR2032, 9V) and a few other small items. Depending on what I'm doing I may attach my Armageddon OG gamechanger or fat bag to the pack, and I throw my small wheeler bit driver set in too. For truck access spots I throw a folding table and lawn chair in along with a plywood target board and my gong if I feel like it. Remote areas I usually just bring the gong. I want to build compact, lightweight target holders for those areas, either carry on quad/trike or lash to pack. Always bring water and snacks, sometimes my backpacking stove and pot with a dehydrated meal especially on longer, colder days. Typically I bring 2 1l nalgenes, summer time they go in an igloo playmate with ice. For gong setup I cut 3 long poles about 8' or so and lash them into a teepee with paracord. I dig the ends into the ground. Then lash the gong to the front 2 poles with paracord. I use my phone for data storage. For small essential tools a few of my rifles and my defensive shotgun wear TAB sling things. You can stuff half a dozen allen/torx wrenches in them and a CR2032. My LR rifle's sling thing is jam packed with tools.
