What type of Reflex/Red dot to get for a CZ858 ?

cabelas has the trs25 atleast I think thats what its called on sale for like $80.. I tried to order one from there website but it said they wont ship that to Canada

One more question for you guys ........Do you find that when you are using a Red Dot, thats mounted on the Handguard that you are able to pick up a target just as fast as you do with the factory sights ?

Just curious on this one actually, to see if I could take my gun up North for my pushing the bush, deer rifle? The deers pop up pretty quick and sometimes you really don't have much time, before you can get a shot off. I thought that bringing up a CZ858 would be quite the head turner, in a huntcamp with a bunch of 30/30 rifles. The CZ really does look like a pretty good bush gun, with a 5 round magazine, because its so light, and small.

If co-witness matters to you, it's not practical with the Sparc. The TRS-25 or Aimpoint Micro co-witnesses nicely on the NEA handguard rail.

x2 on the bushnell TRS-25 .. I'm using it on my CQB because it will absolute co-witness and I didn't feel the need to buy an Aimpoint H1/T1

Did you try ordering one from the "Canadian" Cabelas store?

I'm looking at putting the Trijicon RMR on mine..find a good price like this for it and it is well worth it. Rugged, tested name brand, and the big one for me-battery free.

I just wish that these came with red instead of the sucky amber dot.

Do these guys ship to Canada?--Thought I saw some comment that they didn't.......

they do ship to Canada but they cant export regulated items and you need a permit for most optics and orders over $100. Daves surplus and tactical has them, and I'm sure most CGN sponsors can get them too.

yeah, it says on the opticsplanet page that the RMR is regulated, and even if you get the permits in place, the free UPS shipping is only to the lower 48. Much faster, probably cheaper and better for Canadians to buy in Canada

That looks nice Stevo ! Do you find that if you were trying to pick up a target in a hurry that its faster with the Red Dot, or is it faster with the factory iron sights ? Just curious, incase I decide to take my CZ 858 Deer hunting for my new Dogging gun ?
