So guys I just bought a Savage Mark2 BV with a heavy barrel and accu trigger (which I like). I am going to be using this as a target rifle out 100 meters and maybe 200 if I am happy at 100. What upgrades would you do to this rifle besides bed the action, the barrel is already floated ?

If you're shooting off a bench, you should consider a good rest of some kind. I rarely do any bench stuff, so it's a cheap Hoppes front rest, and a semi-decent rear leather bag filled with rice. 
Bipods are great for field work, shooting prone, etc. I have 3 of them for hunting, my favorite is a Harris 9-13" swiveling.
BTW~that scope will be massive on that rifle....but should work for that rifle for target shooting if you get the right rings. Don't be tempted to ramp it up all the way @ 100 yards~the slightest movement gets magnified so much that it becomes really distracting. Other than that...some spare mags, and a nice sampling of ammo to see what your gun likes most.

I just picked up the same rifle and man is she sweet! Ill be using mine to stretch out a bit further than 100 yards.

Targetguy - Looks like a sweet rig !!! Hope my scope is not to big for it LOL !!
22lrguy- I have a bunch of ammo to try in her soon and a few more to pick up for it I will get back to you on what she likes the best, the rings are millet rings which I had lapped to fit the scope better and I will think about a proper rest for it but I am use to bi-pods and like them a lot

I like bipods too, but if you're shooting on a bench...spend a few bucks and get a rear bag to go with it. Think I paid about $23 for mine and as stated, filled it with rice.
If it's more casual shooting...and super-tiny groups aren't the objective, then ignore that advice. lol Make sure you clean that gun thoroughly before shooting it. New guns usually have some crud somewhere, often in the bore. I started shooting with the "bigger is better" idea when it came to scopes. Now...having made every mistake there is...I'm looking for the best scope, in the lowest magnification I can find for the job. Since you have something already on hand, worth a go for sure...but the scope on my .223 has a top end of 16x and that's plenty for me.
