What was the first milsurp rifle you bought?

Mine was an excellent condition 1946 Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine. I think I paid $175 and wish I had of kept it. Since I've "rented" a lot of milsurp rifles lol

I only have two right now. First was a 1943 Underwood M1 carbine, I recently picked up a nice full wood 1916 Enfield No 1 Mk III. Next on my list to get is probably and SVT40. I'd also love a '43 1911A1 to go with the M1 :)

Excellent condition No4 Mk1 for $15.00 in 1967. I picked it myself from the barrel containing a couple dozen No4s and No1s. The store was an Army-Navy surplus store at Jane and Wilson in Toronto. The store is long gone though. Those were the days.

A 98 Mauser refurb, full wood not matching, 8x57, "winter" trigger guard, 1965, at the old Army & Navy store in Regina, $35. They had scads of them. All in very nice condition. Still have it.

Can remember exact year but it was a 40's Tula Mosin .. numbers matching. If I recall it was $189. Spent more for the first case of surplus ammo at around $225

Given to me - a sportered 1942 No4 made by Savage - Dad bought it in '68 from an Eatons (in SK) for 24.95 + tax. It came with a box of rounds, the bayonet (long gone) and a soft case (also long gone).

Bought by me - a Mosin 91-30 made by Tula in '39 - all matching including the bayonet. Came with a pouch, sling, and the tool/cleaning kit. Paid $110 for the works.

LongBranch #4 Prisyine condition $10 at Eatons 1959

Found your rifle LOL
1962 Eatons catalogue.
