Glad to see you are still going to post a review at some point, I was looking forward to it. What I really want to know though is when are the monolithic uppers going to be released, they were supposed to be here January last year. It would be nice to get an update on this.

I would GUESS that there will be a significant delay on the monolithic stuff just because I know they have to try to churn out a couple of thousands of complete guns over the next six months to keep up with current demand.

if NEA makes such bad products, whys is it that its only the same people complaining over and over again about stuff thats over 6 months in ther past?
shouldnt more owners be saying things like "I hate my gun"
as opposed to the vast majority who say positive things about their rifles
get over it... some issues were there... but it was not the majority of rifles, and it hasnt been an ongoingthing... taking one offs and acting like they are the rule is just stupid... especially for a 1000$ rifle.... get a grip that is the CHEAPEST rifle out there with those features in canada... so stop acting like they should have had the QC of a 2500$+ rifle from manufacturers who have been doing it for decades...

Umm yeah, have you noticed that only a month ago a customer had the gas tube fail, on its second range outing and zero the gas key?. And that a guy less than two weeks ago had the lugs shear off his bolt?. Yes all the issues are in the past, except for the biggest issue of all; the people at NEA don't care what goes out the door. And these rifles are 1000 bucks in Canada, thats not a small amount of money for the average guy. Norinco can ship a WORKING rifle halfway across the planet and still cost less and work out of the box with a better finish . The QC issues were the result of doing no QC on incoming parts bought from purveyors of crap. And lets not forget The NEA rifles are mostly new now, wait till all the cheap parts start failing with regularity because of sub standard heat treat, and porosity from bad casting etc etc etc.
I can't speak to the rest of your post but you are absolutely wrong about this part. As a result of the problems they had in the past they now spec every single part that is not made in house. They don't batch inspect, they measure every part, because they know that their old approach did not work. They have been extremely frustrated with the issues they have had and the mistakes they made, and I can tell you for a fact that Jeff takes their past issues absolutely personally and it definitely bothers him that things went the way they did.
They had better start doing some QA on the stuff they machine in house too, cause alot of it is subpar from what I've seen on display at retailers.

have you noticed YOU complain more about those issues then the people having them? someones friend of a friends bolt sheared, and you heard about it online, and he didnt post pics or start a thread? either it didnt happen, or its being taken care of.
Its great that Nea has figured out some basic manufacturing knowledge. I question how seriously Jeff cares about the quality of the product though, he let sloppy nasty work leave HIS plant with HIS name on them, for months. He has a long way to go before he deserves to be trusted to deliver a quality product. And truthfully, all the lying and shilling leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I personally wouldn't trust Jeff or Dave any farther than I could throw a cheesecake under water.
Its in this thread that the report of sheared bolt lugs was made. And yes the guy with the screwed up gas tube made a thread and posted pictures. And "taking care of problems" doesn't excuse the crappy parts and or assembly that caused the issue to begin with.

I didnt say there was not thread about the gas tube, I have read that thread and posted in it (helpfully as opposed to just using it as more NEA sucks fodder) only the bolt lug was mentioned in my post
anyone, at any time, could say anything bad about NEA, and you would start touting it as hard fact, and indicative of the normal SOP
and no I dont think malice just made it up, but really move on, every manufacturer has these things happen, you're blow it out of proportion,
