What Was your first deer shot with?

I can't believe it , nobody used a 22 rf or will admit to it.

Probably happened/happens more often than one may think, but hunting deer with a rimfire is illegal in BC and most likely in all other provinces as well.

If a person is smart, they wouldn't own up to a crime on the internet.

my first deer was a 160 class and was taken with a Bar 30-06 at 70 yards.[that was a great day] still have the Browning but have yet to take a bigger deer. I was 16 year old.

My first deer was a decent buck after weeks of seeing nothing. So excited I almost dropped my rifle when he popped out. Lousy beat up old .303 sporter with a shortened buttstock I bought from a shop in S'toon. Man I hated that rifle, glad its gone.

Tikka T3 lite SS 30-06. with 168gr win ballistic silver tip. Bushnell 3200 3-9x40.

My first deer was shot in 1977 in the state of Maine north the town of Biddiford. I was using my brand new Browning BLR chambered for a 308 winchester. The deer was shot at 35 yards with open sights. I was excited but my dad was more excited.

A Beretta o/u 12 ga shotgun at 12 yards.
With a rifle: Tikka .308 Win and a handloaded Hornady 110 grains SP, this was close too about 25 yards.

My first whitetail deer was brought to hand with a spanish FR8 rifle in .308. Nice fat doe at about 50 yards. The week after, I got my first buck with the same outfit about 1/2 mile away from that spot. My first big game animal was a black bear with my NEF handi rifle in 30/06.

Massecheusettes arms 12 gauge single shot with a police surplus imperial high brass ssg. Range was about 5 yards, and it was a big fat doe. I sat in a blackberry bush listening to her feeding toward me for about 20 minutes until she suddenly appeared RIGHT THERE! Gun up, hammer back, bang!

22 LR Brno semi auto. One bullet hit a neck artery and it started to drown in blood. It was finished off with a Savage 1907 32ACP in the head. I was 14. Was partridge hunting during a very heavy snow storm.

First legit kill was a #4 Sporter with 180 gr RN hand loads the next year.
