The first deer I shot was with a home made bow made out of a hockey stick handle -- Arrow whittled out of a piece of cedar fence post with the arrow head being a 30-30 casing flattened on and an anvil and sharpened with a file. It was a 4 point buck, I was 13 years old and my father kicked my ass because it out of season and on a anti hunters property.

PSE compound bow was my first , second was with a .50 cal black powder muzzle loader, it wasn’t until my 6th deer that I used centerfire , rem 700 30.06
