my first was a Smith and Wesson M60 with 2" barrel........many moons ago.... thank goodness, as it qualified me for 12(6).....and a few others since then
Jeff
My first two were bought 16 years ago a model 686-4 stainless 357 mag S&W, and a .22 S&W model 622... still using these and a few others once a week at the range.
I got into pistols only lately, it was a bulk purchace about 3 years ago 5 pistols and a rifle, got them at a great price.
S&W Mod 28 .357 revolver, Ruger Security 6 .357 revolver, H&R 999 .22 revolver, Ruger single 6 .22 and .22mag cylinders, and a ruger Mk1 .22 bull barrel.
over the years I've sold traded etc... now I have an Inglis BHP and a WW2 FN BHP as well as a few enfield and S&W WW2 and pre WW2 revolvers and some Post WW2 9mm autos.
Only pistol of the original batch that gets regular use is the S&W Mod 28, the wife likes the Ruger security 6 but rarely comes out shooting.
The year I turned 18 I bought a .32 Walther PPK with an extra mag and holster mail order through my home town gun store. I paid $150 for it and couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with it. But then again I was the only kid in high school with a James Bond gun.
