What was your first rifle ever? Do you still own it?

My first rifle, other than a pellet gun (which I still have anyway :D), is a Marlin 336 in 30-30 I got from the Dartmouth Canadian Tire. I remember the way it used to be too, racks and racks of used guns!

I think I got it when I was either 16 or 18, not sure so that would have been 1988-1990 ish.

Took several deer with it, seen a lot of woods time with it and barely a scratch in it. Wifey was shooting it at the range last summer, so yes, I still have it.

I figure I'll give it to the little guy when he's old enough.
 
Marlin 336. Bought it new and since I don't quite have all the years under the belt like some of the fellas here, I'm thankful I bought it first before marlin became Remlin. A couple years before that happened, the new ones don't have skat on mines from even a couple years before.

Still in it's packing grease too. I'm eager to try it, for the price it actually feels like a lot of rifle.
 
Fairly new to ownership. Picked up a couple of SKS's for me and my son. Good bonding time. They're still with us although mine gets worked out as son's in university in a different province.
 
My first rifle was a given to me by my father. It was an Ithaca, model 49 single shot 22 lever. I was lucky enough to grow up with a dad who took me shooting, hunting,fishing and camping frequently. Yes I still have it.

My first rifle was given to me by my dad ,
it is a Cooey Ace 22 ,I recently cleaned it up to give to my Grandson in a few years :)

First rifle was a model 94 winchester trapper in 32 special. I shot my first deer with it and I still have the gun. I actually still hunt with it although I have several other rifles now!
 
A sporterized Lee Enfield .303, purchased off the rack (!) at Sears (!!!) in the first shopping mall our town had. Kept it for years, handed it down to my younger brother, who eventually sold it!:mad:
 
Posted earlier but I now see that this thread is looking for the first rifle I bought. A Ruger m77 tang safety Ultralight 30-06. Yes I still have it

Mossberg 151MB 22lr semi...
Manufactured 1946-195 something IIRC.

My Dad acquired it from a friend back in the early 60's and it hung in the basement rafters for years...
'Let me have it when I was about 13 years old or so.

I must have run thousands of rounds of cheap .22 ammo through it as a kid...
It was easy... We'd go up to the cottage and I'd take off into the woods or to a nearby sand pit...

I still have it and it still gets used once in a while.
