October 3rd of this year, bull elk, NW of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Sako 85 Finlight, 30-06, 165 gr Hornady Superformance SST at about +- 180 yards. He was responding to other bulls bugling and also to my sons bugling. My son was bugling and got some responses, so he moved about 600-700 yards to the north, then entered westbound into the bush to try and intercept a bull. I moved to his spot and shot the bull as he crossed my front about 5-6 minutes later, he entered the field just seconds after my son went out of sight. I had to wait until he crossed out of the canola swaths as we were hunting private land, the canola was combined a few hours later and was gone by the next morning. Beautiful crisp and sunny day at about 8:15 in the morning. We had harvested a bull moose two days previously, my son used his Tikka T3X in 6.5 PRC, his second moose in two years with this rifle, both were single shots, broadside. He also took a mule deer doe on the 4th, we had about ten of them in front of us, I also had a tag but chose not to use it.
