What was your most exciting find while hunting?

I found a model T ford! Don't ask me how long it had been there but funny thing was you could still turn the engine over!
I hope I never find a guy in the bush like that or worse!
You know the #### thing about that situation was he loved his wife still....a lot! But she probably didn't bat an eye.
I just lost my best friend/GF and believe me it aint easy having unrequited love. Not worth dyeing over though.

I've never found anything hunting, but I have found the remnants of logging operations on my parents property in White Rock, BC. Found old lengths of chains, metal that has been grown over (can't identify what it is), and most recently, while putting in a fence, we found the rear-end of a truck... never pulled it out, but im gonna go try to dig it out next summer and see if its attached to anything...

About 15 years ago while upland hunting near the Marchand area of Manitoba, my buds and I came across a piece of culvert pipe with a lid(about 3ft across) sticking out of the ground. Turned out to be an old fallout shelter left over from the 50s. It was attached to a larger culvert pipe about 20ft long which was about 10ft into the ground. There were 6 bunks and a table inside.
I do have pics of us inside the thing too, I just gotta find them.

DF:D

I would like to see those pics

Wally what the he'll is that?
I've found a number of shacks/cabins/shelters, a massive pair of moose castoffs I estimate it to be high 70's" spread (picturing them to my 63" tv each palm is about half the size. I've come across 3 or 4 old cowboy graves in he caribou. Heard a griz kill a cow. The odd old truck. The odd tool/axe/knife, Old mining cart tracks seemingly for no purpose. Almost rode my sled into an unmarked vertical mining shaft on silvercup ridge. One of my old pals came across a meth lab and was slashed in he leg with a sword. Another guy found a running car in the middle of a dirt road with blood all over in it, obviously a murder scene so he took off farther up the mountain in case they he'd seen him, waited it out a while and on his return the car was still on fire.

I relish the day when you find some periods :)

Found this stone age guy. Solid stone, on a river bank.
Drache, if you are there, I found it practicaally in your back yard!

WILD LIFE! When I'm out their for a couple of hours and I don't see anything, I start to wonder! I get real excited to find new paths, game trails, rubbings, nice possible swimming holes etc!

old iron wheel from some sort of farming equipment sticking out of a creek bank, small pot grow op, abandoned summer camp, lots of ammo :D and the ocasional burnt out car other then that nothing really amazing

Not hunting: Came across a briefcase full of documents in the woods near my house at age 8 or so, turned it over to mom. The case belonged to a wealthy local business man who owned a hotel in Penticton. Along with a cash reward The owner of the case gave us a free stay at his hotel!

Have also found stashed stolen property on many occasions in those same woods over the years.

Hunting find: While on my first hunting trip this year I found an unbroken stubby beer bottle (thought it was quite the find having been born in 82 and never seen one before).

Great thread!

About 6 years ago I was hunting whitetail deer in the Slave Lake, Alberta area in a remote section. While on a deer trail/path I noticed a double barrel shotgun leaning up against a tree. I looked around, whistled, and yelled for the hunter but received no response. When I walked closer to the shotgun I noticed that it was quite weathered........covered in rust and the wood was cracked. Lots went through my mind at the time as to why this gun was left leaning against this tree. All of a sudden goose bumps covered my skin where I felt most un-easy. I made a 180 degree turn and got the hell of the area.
From time to time I think about it and still wonder why that gun was left on the tree.

"The story of the hunter that forgot his guuunnnnn!!!!"

I found a savage stainless 7mm mag once hunting. Turned out it belonged to one of the guys in our hunting party, it fell off his quad.

I found a dead goat last night 14km up a logging road. We have no wild goats here, and it had a collar on.

One time I found a badass hammer laying in the middle of absolutely nowhere. I mean this thing was 7km into the bush just laying there. I still have it and use it all the time haha.
