Hard to narrow it to just one but I think Maddog would agree my Savage 40 was a real bugger to locate and I invested many hours looking and phoning gunshops etc. The others I bought are unique too but did not take near the effort so the 250 Savage edged them out.

And Blair, quit posting those 1899's would ya!?

Thanks, I'm pretty pumped about it. Probably won't actually have it for a couple more months though. It's jumping through the hoops of export/import at the moment. Just have to start getting components together while I wait....

An original Marlin 336RC "Marauder" in 35Rem. Bought it stateside and it took over three months and mucho $$$ to get it to me. I had my ear to the rail a looong time for one of those.

This past fall I carried it a few days deer hunting before pouring rain made me put it away and pull out one of my stainless steel shooters. Never got to shoot a deer with it. But as expected I sure like it alot for my woods hunting ways.
 
My most unique firearm for 2008 was the Martini Henry MK IV that was given to me by a family friend.

I found a really nice 1948 vintage BRNO 22F 8x57 with a 4x scope in claw mounts. It weighs a touch over 7 lbs and is a really good shooter, double set triggers and all. At some point in time somebody carved a stag's head in the butt...its definitely a keeper !

Time will tell. Can't hardly wait to see how it shoots. Still need dies and some other small stuff before it gets here.

Been dreaming of a LH Alaskan since Ruger introduced them. The only thing I'd have changed is the Hogue stock and Ruger took care of that already.

Gotta decide on a scope yet too......
 
I don't know if it counts, but my Boomer inspired Custom BRNO 602 carbine in 375 H&H should be ready in a couple weeks!!!
 
I picked up a lovely BRNO CZ468 Trainer single shot for the old lady cuz she was NOT impressed with the Cooey 39 I found for her. And I got an old Winnie mod 1906 22lr pump takedown for the pure fun of it. I just love to watch the whole top of the receiver moving around. 1937 prod date and a blast to shoot. The guys at the club are always curious about it and accurate as all get out. This is my official "cooler" along with the near mint 9422 I just got. Nice companions for my leftie CZ452 and anyhand friendly. The leftie CZ527 in 223 was just for me. Whoa-busy year. No 99s calling my name though:)
 
Without a doubt my F.A.I.R. Safari Prestige O/U with its 6.5X55 barrels and the optional 20 gauge barrels as well.
SUPER rifle , and a 20 gauge that is lightning fast and literally brings geese down NOW!!:D

I picked up a few shotguns, Mossberg 500/20g, Stevens b/a 20g and an IGA .410 backpacker which I guess would be my "unique" one purchased.
I also picked up a CVA Hawken, All were bought from CGN's here.
