the shotshell primers are used in the 50 BMG rounds?

Just so that I understand, what's the difference between the shotshell primer and a 50 cal primer?

They will fall out 'cause the bmg is larger in diameter. If you did fire a shotshell primer in a bmg you would likely loose an eye. The bmg primer is tough, the brass is very thick in comparison.

I am not talking about geometry!
My question is about ignition/pressure/velocity only.

So, are you saying that the pressure of the gases escaping thru the flash hole will rupture the shotshell primer?
