What Will He Score?

Since late August I have spotted this guy three times. Sorry for the long distance photo's, however his right back fork is the same as his left back fork. My son was lucky to receive a draw for mule deer buck and hopefully this big boy will still be around by November 7th. What's your best estimate on this score, gross B&C.

I'd say he will gross score between 150 to 152.

I think he's better than that - I'm thinking 160+ gross - hella whitetail!

But racks 'shrink' a lot once the velvet comes off. I'm looking forward to seeing pics, without any velvet.

Oh I concur - velvet racks are often a poor indication of what will be reality in a month or so.

Ok, people. How big is this buck? It has been scored by an official B&C scorer, so I know the gross and net numbers.

FYI, I shot this deer in 2007, about 200 yds away from where the trail cam pics of that other buck were taken. In fact that's why I set up the trail camera where it is. I've had it in there for 4 years (I haven't hunted there since I shot that buck in 2007).

That 2007 buck and the 2012 buck are related...

I'd say 185-190. He has the frame but is missing a few inches on mass.

I'm on board with you. I believe that he will gross 190 B&C, however hoping that he is bigger. By September 10th most bucks will be in hard horn. Once that occures I will have a better estimate on what he will score.

Nice, you are out by 3" combined... he grosses 167" and netted 164". Not many guys would be that close.

I hope you are wrong about the score of this other buck though...
