Walnut, and more specifically (most probably) Turkish Walnut.
Beech...CZ uses it primarily for their entry level rifles, it's better stock wood then walnut, but not quite as pretty.

Beech certainly is not better than walnut as far as I am concerned... it is very plain and doesn't take stain or finish very well and is widely used by factories because it is considerably cheaper than walnut...
