What would happen if SKS disappear from market in Canada (westrifle.com)

Like many before you, your sig line will haunt you. Nice import thread by the way.

Pink at night, sailors delight.

According to the Liberals Canada would be a safer place. The Criminals would all be under control and the the RCMP could control, I mean protect us and we could all unite and play together in one big rainbow sandbox .Cough cough hack barf

Unless we unite. People should voice their opinion.

Sks are almost gone from a market now. Everyone who has them uses them for fun shooting but soon Russian sks will disappear from the market.

Go buy some today. Prices are going up all the time. Look what happened to SvT 40 $1000.00 each

Do your scare mongering posts generate much business ? Who cares if they'll be around in the future. They're hardly a collectors piece, I'd say they're a disposable firearm. shoot it for a while then move on.

Hahahahahah that truly is the best way to look at it lol that will help with the pain of those who own sks rifles

But seriously 200$ sks is 500$ in the US used ! So it's not a great rifle but it's not actually horrible either.

To answer the OP; It wouldnt change anything for me, none of my SKS are even close to being collectible and I dont see a reason to keep buying more SKS anyway. Newbies to shooting might be affected.
All I care about is ammo prices

I don't need to scare you to sell SKS, Russian SKS will be gone from the market and I am just saying to everyone go buy anywhere you see them. I am not the only seller of SKS in the country. Even if I was sold out I would still post this thread.
If you want to hate me for this post please fill free, but there is still going to be shortage of Russian SKS in the country.

Good luck to everyone who listen.

Of course the prices will go up. They made a lot, but they haven't made them for a long time. I look at the SKS's available now vs 5 yrs ago and, generally, the quality is down considerably. I can't see shooter-grade guns going up much, but '49s, non-refurbs, and really pretty rifles will likely continue appreciate. Who knows how much...?
I know an SKS isn't a war-time SVT-40, but I'm shocked at how much those guns have gone up since I bought two 7 or 8 yrs ago.

7 or 8 years ago the msrp on vz58/cz858s was 7 or 800. Now its 1450.

The old .22 target rifles. Single shot mainly. Old Swedish, Danish, anything different than the usual Ruger, Savage, and all the basic .22 that you can walk into a Canadian Tire and buy.
The old target .22's are deadly accurate and very interesting rifles. I have put them up against my Savage MKII with bull barrel and tight laminated stock and they easily compete or beat my .22
I'm talking about 1/4" groups at 50y with diopters and old target sights.

In my area they are making a big comeback. Guys are paying decent prices for them too.
