Howdy,
I have a No 1 Mk III* that has been sitting in my gun cabinet that has not had a shot through it since I bought it over a year ago, and I do not see this changing anytime soon; maybe it could use a more loving home. I was thinking about selling it, but I am not sure what it would worth. The info I have off the rifle are:
Wrist: Crown
GR
B.S.A. C2
1917
SHT L.E.
III*
Left side of receiver: FTR 1953
Brass disc: 1 AA 2
. 1 (think it is a 1)
Top of the receiver: England and the serial number is high 20,000.
It looks rather nice, this is the reason I bought it in the fisrt place The magazine is a little loose, but I do not think it would affect function; I have not even had the time to cycle some rounds through it.
I know it has been rebuilt, hence the FTR 1953, but I do not know how much a gun like this would be worth. If any of you have an idea, it would be most appreciated.
Also, I have a bayonet that fits it; it is in what I consider good shape and has been sharpened sometime down the line. Any help on the value of this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Corey
