What would you choose and why?

Personally I wouldn’t hesitate to shoot a bear with any of them. That being said as long as it functions well and the accuracy is decent I would go with the HSM pretty sure it will have the most energy.

Yeah, I'm just not sure which one to use. i want excellent terminal performance/deep penetration.
I'll be hunting a cornfield this fall, my shots are as close as 20 yards. need something that will hold up to that punishment!

I would just got with the Remington 405 grain load. Shots are close and it is likely a soft bullet.

I doubt any of them are a bad choice.

Rem 405 gr soft. Ive used those on bears. Great expansion and reliable deep penetration.
Second choice goes to the trophy bonded bear claw.

I would not use that hornady gummy bullet on a bear.

The HSM "Bear Load" or the Federal "Bear Claw", as I let marketing make all my decisions for me, and if it's a bear hunt you're on....well I certainly wouldn't recommend something like Winchester's Deer Season XP....that's for deer, for example!

On a serious note, I would personally use the Federal Bear Claw out of those five choices, followed by the Barnes and HSM loads, then the Remington and Hornady stuff.

I'm hunting Blackies with fall with Barnes VOR-Tx in .308. Will retain weight the best / penetrate / no lead in your sausage.

What sort of velocities are the TBBC and tsx going? I'm assuming they're not trapdoor Springfield safe loads like the Rem ammo?

Bears are susceptible to shock, thus I like velocity...
