So I have a question for you guys.

My buddy sold me his Glock 40 10MM MOS pistol for a ridiculously amazing price. I only have two other pistols they are 9mm.

I do not reload so I have to buy factory Ammo. I am going to assume, I will lose alot on the MSRP of the Glock 40 because 10MM is not a desirable cartridge.

Would you guys keep the 10MM as a fun gun, since you have very little into it. Or would you take the loss of selling it and getting another rifle / pistol.

If you were going to sell it at a loss, what gun would you get???? The price you sell it for, must cover the purchase price of your new gun.
 
Not sure what you are asking? You bought a 10mm cheap from your buddy and you are worried about selling it for a loss because you don't reload:confused: Why did you buy it then? Get an aftermarket barrel in .40 S&W for the Glock, factory ammo is cheaper I guess, or just sell it back to him or on here and get what you really want.
 
Just shoot it. 10mm is fun!

I'd say buy a couple boxes of hot ammo for it and have fun with it, then decide if you want to keep it or sell it. Don't waste your money on the light loaded 10mm ammo.
 
Why would you lose money on resale? You got it for cheap to start and the model 40s are relatively scarce. On top you have the MOS which is even more desirable. I have the same gun and it's a winner for sure.
 
You might have to wait for the right person to buy the 40 MOS but I can't see it losing any more money than any other Glock.
I bought a Glock 20 and wouldn't mind getting the 40 MOS some day. The beauty of the 10mm frames is that they can take a wide variety of barrels. I have 10mm, 40 S&W and .357 SIG.
I imagine the G40 will have the same options. But hey, if you want to sell it in the new year, PM me!
 
He's worried about not making enough of a profit if he sold it, as he is worried about how much off the MSRP he would have to sell it for. Even though his buddy sold it to him at a rediculas low price.

i think the big question is what did you pick it up for?
because if your going off of current listed prices they are listed between $1200-$1300 but if your in on the Glock IOP they are only costing around $950-$980.

so it would depend on what you paid for it i guess.

end of the day with a $1000 pistol if your not gonna shoot it then clear it out.
whats the use of having $1000 invested in something your not gonna use?
its not like Glocks are going to gain in price over time.
a used Glock is a used Glock.

then again its not like i havnt purchased guns to "shoot when i get more time, later"
 
From what i've read you dont really need to even buy a 40sw barrel, 40sw shoots just fine out of a 10mm barrel. With that said, use at your own discretion/risk.
