What would you do...?

You have a rifle now worth $1000.00-$1200.00
If you unwrap it $500.00-$600.00
You lose 50% of its value.
Sell it as is and buy one out of the wrapper. There are plenty of them around.

Superbee is 100% right Octaron. Cut the value in half. There are plenty of No4Mk2's around that you can buy to shoot.

Owning one of the mummy wrapped guns has never appealed to me...but I'd be damned if I'd cut the value in half. You already know what it looks like.

I agree!!! Why buy a gun in the wrapper for twice the price when there's all kinds if mint, shootable Enfields out there for $600? It should stay in the wrapper, there's not too many left like that, when they're all unwrapped that part of the history will be gone. For the record I shoot everything I have, including my super mint Ross mkIII and my AG PARKER longbranch target rifle.

They are meant to be shot, but these things are pieces of history and we need to take care to preserve that history.
