So, a bit of a dilemma here on what I should keep.
I have both a Remington 1100 Lt/20 gauge 28''modified vent rib 2-3/4'' and used only for grouse.
The other is the Remington 1100 Lt/28 gauge 26'' rem chokes vent rib barrel and have yet to shoot it.
My plans and wants are to use specifically for Grouse while ridding the back road trails.
Ammo is not really of a concern as I have generally shot from half a box to a box and a half per season.
With the 20 this fall I ran 15 birds for 23 shots and of those 8 shot of the ground/run and others on the wing... it was a bountiful year for Ruffies and a couple of Blues tossed in for good measure.
Thoughts appreciated.

Is the 28ga scaled down, or just a 20ga action with a different barrel?

If its scaled to the cartridge, I'd go 28ga due to the slightly shorter barrel and rem chokes. Plus the panache of being a 28ga.

I mean you could always get another barrel for your 1100 that accepts chokes. I personally would go 20, as you can use it for a bunch more stuff.

Keep the 20. It is 3" so very versatile and you could always get a Rem Choke barrel for it or get Briley thin walls installed for a lot less than the selling price, of your 28 ga. 20 ga ammo is a lot easier to find, regardless of the price.

I'd keep the 2o simply because it's easier to load than the narrower 28ga. That's the only thing I don't like about my a400 28 is it gets hard to load the tube. If in and out of the truck alot a 20 is easier. If it were a double I'd take the 28

Strange BB I feel the same about loading the semi even the 20g browning gold I have is a pain, but my SKB 20g sxs is much nicer and quicker, if it was a choice between sxs or semi I would take the sxs or o/u regardless of gauge .

Loading the narrower tube is the sole reason I don't own a 410 pump
