Im quite sure that ive seen a thread on this before but i cant find it
So my question is how much are you willing to part with for a 30 rounder that legally fits your ar15 or tavor or whatever.
$50 or $200 how high would you go to get one and would you just buy 1 or 5 or 50.

If one existed how many do you think a person could sell in canada realisticly and i know it depends on the price.

tell me your thoughts

All you guys are liars. :) Cheap liars at that. haha

I'd pay $60 or so - however, if one did get made, I'm sure some kind of law would be rewritten to make them illegal once more.

AR15 mags are "scarce'' even in the U.S.
Ever since Obamanation last fall, prices jumped as Americans went into a feeding frenzy. AR15 mags are backordered everywhere in the U.S.

Folks are afraid that Obama will ban the AR (and he does plan on it). Gun sales are "up" 40% since Obama got elected. Only sector of US economy that is booming!

If you can find an AR mag in the U.S. expect to pay upwards of $40 for it. that $40 mag pinned for Canadian market will probably hit $75 Canadian.

High cap AR mags are a solid investment for theose looking for a quick return on investment.

An "unpinned" 30 round mag in Canada is worth about 5 years in jail. Too costly for my blood!

Someone has mentioned this before and it is like this, create a bolt action rifle that is called say FUK 68 then make 30 round mags that are imprinted with BOLT ACTION RIFLE FUK 68 MAGAZINE and the Mags would be made for the rifle but would also fit in the AR.

One Unicorn!
Because if you believe in Unicorn's, you would also believe this would ever be allowed to happen in this great socialist society we call Canada!

As has been mentioned in other threads the cost to tool up probably isn't worth it for the amount of mags you'd sell up here.

Must remember, these mags must be UNABLE to fit into an AR-15 magwell. Then owners would have to modify their AR15 magwell to accept the FUK 68 mags.

Not so. Otherwise I would have had to modify all my AR's to use my LAR15 ten round mags.

As I understand it the rifle cannot be advertised or designed to use AR mags or something along those lines. It's all been hased out here before.

Uh, no. LAR15 mags are ok because there are commonly available AR-15 pistols in Canada, and the mags for that work in the rifle. 30 round mags that are AR15 format will always be deemed AR15 mags under the current laws, and be prohibited.

However, design a 30 round mag that is generally AR15 format and add a bump or something that stops it from fitting any AR15 in production, and design and sell a commonly available manually repeating rifle that takes said mags, and you'll probably have a legal 30 round mag which people could modify their AR15 to accept. CFC will still probably decide it's prohib tho, and then you'll get to fight it in court.
