What wouldn't a 35Rem kill?

Ted, what powder were you using to get 2200 fps in your 35Rem? I'm playing with LVR but haven't maxed out its potential yet. Have read lots of guys getting between 2100 and 2200fps with this powder out of 20" barreled Marlins which is where I want to see it. Have also read that this powder maxes out on velocity before it maxes out on pressure so no point in pushing it to a compressed load.

While we are talking about it mine as well toss up a pic of the bad boy that started this curiosity and a few of them 220's loaded and ready.

Nice rifle. My dad has a Remington Model 141 and 81 in. 35 that he hunts with. He's shot a lot of deer with them bit I don't think he's taken anything else.

As you can see, the pressures at 2200 are almost the same as SAAMI specification for the 30-30 Winchester.

I would like to see the what BL-C2 does at similar pressures. I have a couple pounds of that as well, but according to hodgdon max levels it will only produce 1900 fps at only 31000 CUP. Seems a little slow compared to LVR.

With the help of three different CGN'ers I was able to find a good supply of the Speers 220's! Thanks to Why Not?, medic and one other gentleman which I seem to have lost his user name. Should keep me going for a few years!
