What you boys using for a bino tripod setup?

I have a pair of Athlon Ares binos I'd like to get set up for some proper glassing.

But I have no idea where to start! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is about as good as it gets. I'm running a RRS 33 Tripod but the rest is the same.

I use the bog pod switcheroo tripod with the bog pod BBR bino rest and pro camera adapter. Works quite well.

I ordered direct from Really right stuff. If you watch kijiji, occasionally tripods will pop up from people getting out of photography.

I don't think RRS has any Canadian dealers. I bought direct from RRS. A buddy bought from a retailer in the States. In both cases, shipping was very expensive.

RRS TFCT 34 with an Anvil-30 head. Have used the RRS Cinch on binos for years and it's been great but just started using a more low-profile (and versatile) mount from OBI. Allows you to cli your binos to the strap of your pack as well as to the leg of the tripod (super handy to laze with binos, pop them off and clip to leg then drop gun on tripod and engage).

If you are cheap you can get a Leofoto (Chinese copy of RRS) from Amazon. They are great for the prices. You won't get the same durability but it's still good enough for a casual use.

I have the same Binos as the OP. Just went with the Athlon Bino Tripod Adaptor and Athlon Midas CF32 Tripod. If one wanted a better tripod Athlons CF36 would be an upgrade. Not top of the line gear but decent at midrange pricing.
