Just wondering what there is for youth models on the market nowadays? I see a lot of kid stuff, but not many youth options.

Ruger Precision Rimfire. Very adjustable stock for adults and my 6 year old. No tools necessary. Adjusts in seconds.

But the BL22 was my first gun and I have a soft spot for it.

I bought my boy a Browning micro Midas in 7/08 and he really likes it, so do I.

Second on the Marlin, also nice that it takes mags but also comes with a single shot adapter for getting started.

Ruger American Compact.
Comes with two interchangeable rear stock inserts.
One for sights and t'uther for using a scope.
I found a third which puts this compact into adult size
length of pull.
Well unless yer swing'in arms like a gorilla.

Look at some of the compact models, I bought my son a tikka T3 in 7mm/08 for his 13th birthday. He was 5ft and the gun fitted him well, 2 years later and couple deer later the gun now fits perfect. The kids grow over night so be careful not to buy something that will be to small by hunting season, buy once!
