What're you guys running for glass on your coyote rigs?

My 17 Fireball Rem700 has a Burris 4-12x44 with the built in laser rangefinder (from before they made the eliminator series) and it works great.
My 223 Rem700 has a Trijicon 5-20x50 which is also a nice piece of glass for field work (reticle is a little heavy for precision work).

This is the 223, the scope has been changed out since this pic

I've got a heavy barrelled .204 I wanna throw a scope on for coyotes (mostly) as well as gophers up to 600 yards. Just curious what you guys would recommend. I was thinking a Sightron 6-24x50???

Great scope but I feel too much mag at the low end for called in shots

My choice would be the STAC 2.5x17.5-56 - great low light performance too

I carry all Sightron scopes...Sorry, website is way out of date.

I just got back from the range testing a new Rem with the STAC mentioned. Very nice scope for short to mid range precision shooting.

Work great for LR hunting too

No, but I am 6ft tall. I prefer a slightly taller scope height as I am an eye glass wearer as well.

With a standard sporter hunting stock, the STAC is currently in Burris Sig ZEE xtra high rings. There is plenty of room above the barrel so it is a bit tall.

I would think a High or Med would still clear and be more inline with what users are familiar with.... depends on the thickness of your base. The current bases are very thin but the 20 MOA EGW base coming will be thicker so will likely switch to Meds.

Remember that this is a sporter contour barrel so the scope can be mounted lower without hitting the barrel. Works very nicely... this scope was designed for the Euro market and hunting at night so it was proportioned very nicely to fit on hunting rifles.

Bushnell 4200 6-24 power
Clear with good light but a bit large and heavy. Fairly reasonable on the ee. I got one and then I got one for dad.
