What's a CZ 858 worth as parts with a cooked receiver?

All of these are cases of user error. They should not have tried to get it refinished, or use ammo in it, or pull the trigger etc...

Was it user error that CSA drilled the gas ports too large and broke bolts due to overpowering the gas system?

Face it. Of all the "red rifles" on the Canadian market the VZ platform has been the MOST problematic and prone to breakage. Period.

OK, so the rifle has issues. But is it the CSA VZ58, the CZ 858 or the FSN Seris (from Marstar) that has the most issues? Ive heard of the CZ858 'gremlin' and lot of problems with the CSA,but nothing about the FSN rifles.

You should turn the rifle into a dewat.

Then you can sell it for $1000 or more on the EE.

2000 rounds, no gremlin, no gas issues the only problems i have ever had have been of my own doing.

i once heard of a guy who had a problem with his ar and another guy whos glock malfunctioned. guess they suck too

I was thinking of stripping it of its guts and turning it into a reading light for my cottage. I was thinking of using an old steel helmet as a shade and the bayonet to hold it up.
