What's a good alternative to a Tikka T3 SS / Lam?

I own x-bolts in 270 win. and 300wsm. Excellent rifles. Their recoil pads work very good. I can shoot lots [25to 30 ] rounds at the range with the 300wsm with no problem which takes care of any flinching. Their mags. are polymer and are very strong, and work good. The 270 stainless synthetic is about $870.00.

I had an X-Bolt, then I bought my wife a Laminate Tikka in .243. It gave me a chance to really look at the form and function in the two rifle designs.
I sold my X-Bolt syn/ss and bought a ss Tikka T3 Lite in 7RM. I really like its no-frills, no-gimmicks, just function and accuracy.
Certain aspects of the X-Bolt is more complex than it needs to be; and the complexities don't improve the function of the rifle. Veeeery flexy stock for-end. And if I see one more buckmark sticker... Nicely factory bedded though, and dura touch is grippy, though another one of those "features" I would like to see how it holds up in ten years time.
Just my opinion.

Tikka T3 Lite is very acceptable in a 7RM: You get to tell others you shoot a "magnum", and when you tell them that you enjoy shooting it, you can also be telling the truth. Install the Limbsaver immediately, before firing it for the first time. Don't bother to "wait and see if it really needs one".
