Unfamiliar with key brands and looking for good quality bi-pod for my AR-15. What's good? I keep hearing "Harris". Why is that better, if at all?

Thanks!

Harris is solid, that's why. I've one for my M14. Also had a versa-pod for a 22LR for a while, I liked it too. Suited me fine for plinking. Just using this for the range?

I have a Vltor Weapon Systems Bipod and I don't like it... takes too long to fold the legs down one at a time. I now use a Grip-Pod vertical fore-grip and much prefer it. Once deployed they're both pretty stable but the Vltor takes more space on the rail.

Vltor/Tango Down: Excellent design, very stable I used one on my .50cal rifle for a while with zero issues .

Harris: Excellent design, just make sure you use a quality mount, stay away from bayonet lug mounts at all costs.

Gripod: I have limited experience with these but witnessed one self destruct, granted it was mounted on a light machine gun but still not confidence inspiring.I fired a few hundred rounds with one mounted on my rifle, it was not a good vert grip (too long for my taste), nor did I trust it as a bipod. YMMV

I have a harris for my rem 700 & another for my m14 but I never thought of being able to mount one on my AR platform. Does anyone have a pic of this mount or what it looks like?
