Whats a good price for 9mm 124 grain

Hey guys, I’m just getting into IPSC and recently got some 9mm guns. Do you guys know what a good price for 9mm 124grain ammunition is? Also if you have suggestions on which companies have good deals on ammo that would be helpful.
 
If you are serious about IPSC..start reloading. You save - even with the actual inflated Price, 40 % easy over ammo price.
I know components are scarce now..bullets and brass are plentifull.
 
I was looking at the Tenda deal and people were commenting that the price was high. But I’m guessing in todays climate that price is pretty good then?
 
What about the quality of that ammo. I know nothing about Scorpio.
I have shot exclusively S&B 124 gr for the past 5 years. But I can't get that stuff anymore. At any price...
 
For factory made ammunition, I wouldn't expect to see lower prices. The cheapest local remanufactured ammunition is just a bit cheaper than that around here.
 
Sadly it looks like you will have to spend $0.43 or more per round these days. I stocked up on 9mm 2 years ago and spent $0.25/round on CCI 124 grain.

I just saw that same case is now going gor $499.99. Crazy times.
 
I’d expect it to go even higher , so buy it now if you can .
You can be damn sure that if the govt has any hand in it the ammo will become harder to get and more expensive .

Absolutely buy now. Capped handgun ownership is bound to have an impact on the ammunition and parts market.
 
While everything is relative in the context of the current inflationary prices, that Scorpio deal seems decent given that Tenda has Winchester white box - box of 50 124gr and 147gr going for $36.99.

I think these were under $15 a box less than 5 years ago...

I know nothing about the Scorpio rounds but in just a cursory glance, I do like how the whole thing looks like a golden bullet.
 
I second for reloading. If you get super serious start to cast your own and the savings is enormous. Not factoring in my time and the start up cost for reloading/casting I make 9mm ammo for 7 cents (Using old primers at the price i got them at). Todays Primer cost that increases the cost to about 12-15 cents.

Someone new is going to have to buy brass, primers, and powder at today's prices. There is no such thing as a 12 or 15 cent 9mm round if that's you. The whole "I cast my own bullets and have primers from a decade ago" thing is just not relevant to the OP's situation.
