Definitely would prefer a 260 or bigger. Well constructed bullet and proper shot placement.

Maybe not ideal, but then again I just killed a black bear with my CZ 858 with winchester soft-point 123gr that smashed the top of its skull. Course, that was at only 20' away - I wouldn't want to try and shoot something past 50 yds with a milsurp semi-auto 7.62x39 unless I was pretty sure of my gun.

I'm beginning to suspect that the majority of the accuracy problems that -some- people are having with a milsurp semi-auto 7.62x39 is due in part to them receiver cover scope mounts (they all move).
