What's a quality, cheap 22 pistol?

I bought the Smith & Wesson M&P22 and love it. It is plenty accurate, full size and if you're planning on moving up to a 9 mm it fills the gap as a training pistol.

My considerations were also break down for cleaning. The M&P22 basically field strips like a regular 9 mm semi-auto and cleaning the barrel is very easy, no tools needed. It is made by Carl Walther in Germany to S&W specifications.

Cleaning the barrel of a Buckmark or Ruger Mark xx means tools and patients.

the S&W 22A1 might not be the best looking but i have had fantastic success with it. lets face it looks are important with guns... but hitting $HI7 in tight groups and having a gun that fits in your hand perfect is far more important.

buy the gun that is the best to shoot. and you won't care what it looks like

Hey there again. For me personally, I'm drawn to popular accurate firearms. Bought a mark 2 savage arms cuz it got great accuracy reviews for a 22 lr. Bought a ruger precision In 6.5 because it's a beauty for getting a foot in the door to precision long range shooting. So to answer your question. I'd imagine someday I'd be excited to get into competitions. I'm obsessed with guns and like the ones that have unbelievable accuracy in the right hands. I agree with another post I saw about a stainless buck mark. Man I saw a used one. Didn't hold it cuz I saw online but wow. Beautiful bull barrel 22. Very nice. Disregarding what I said before if I look at the buckmark long enough I will like the design. Like a lot of you have said aswell, is to go hold the gun and I'll see for myself. Never held one yet. Definitely into full size pistols though. Of that I'm sure :D. Thank you for all the comments. Very helpful

As someone said earlier, quality and cheap don't necessarily go together. I would recommend that you check out the S&W SW-22 Victory. An accurate pistol. Easy to disassemble and maintain. Has a nice weight that feels good in your hand. Bull barrel. A friend saw me shooting mine and went out and bought one of his own. They're going for around $550 now which is not bad for a pistol of this quality.

Thank you both. I will look into that for sure. Especially at that price. ease of cleaning is a plus too as my cleaning routine is every time I shoot. Whether it be one mag I did that day or 200 rounds. The ocd in me on guns. XD
