What's a Ruger SR1911 worth?

I walked into a little shop and found one today and bought it because of the unobtanium factor and it was the only one they had, the wife walked in as I signed the Visa slip... Now I am getting hassled so was thinking of selling it to get her off my back.

If you feel you must sell it, I'd say don't be a dickhead and try and flog it for more than you paid. It's the old "do unto others..." principle. (And no, I'm not a potential buyer, although if I didn't already have an STI Spartan I'd be considering the Ruger.)

my advise would be don't sell it until you have shot it, then you won't want to sell ;) I've been very happy with mine over past one year and one month (as of today actually, got it 3rd May last year). Round count at end of monthly USPSA match today is now at 6564, 6389 of those my reloads, mostly lead.

They have a high unobtanium factor even down here where they are made (90 miles northwest of me).

Take your wife out to a nice dinner, seems to work for me ;)

Don't make any rash decisions. SR 1911's are harder to find than wives!:D

Latest word from Murdoc, is that they are coming...very soon.

I remember waiting patiently for an NP-29 from SFRC, now the markets looded with them.

Do hope the SR1911's become plentifull, "very soon".

I was up late one night, checked out the EE for a lark, and picked up one - less than 5 months old - for 725.00 including shipping. I took it out today for a test drive, fired about 100 rounds out of it, and loved it. Its my first 1911 and it shoots great.. keep your eyes peeled on the EE and everynow and then, gems appear.

Christ he has been sayin that forever, glad i canceled my order i would go banannas waiting.

Funny how a shortage can make folks go crazy. Once they're plentiful be just another 10/22. $675 would be great, $725 OK but paying a premium is just nuts. Recall seeing gouging on EE for $900 which will easily get a LNIB STI or SIG

isn't a stainless SIG worth $1,100 to $1,500 before tax? I like the idea of stainless and that's what drew me into the Ruger (plus I have three other different Rugers in my safe). I paid $839.99 for the SR1911.
