Personally I think a 1965 vintage 94 is worth around $250, one of the worst years of all for quality in the 94. I wouldn't trade a 336 Marlin for two of them.
That bad eh? I knew that quality did take a hit post-64, but I never thought it was really serious.
Did they get any better as time went on?
The sub standard parts were replaced with better parts in the years following. The absolute best 94s as far as fit and finish go, are likely the new Miroku made rifles. The only 94 that I currently own, is a mint pre crossbolt safety 94AE that I just purchased on the EE, for a great price.
