Two Questions for you all

1. for the price $250 and under what it the best buy and most accurate semi right out of the box?

2. for $250 and up what it the best buy and most accurate semi ?

Played with 10/22 and bought some of the bells and whistle but am looking for what's most accuate right out of the box.

Thanks

Since you didn't specify what year...:D

I'd say IMHO for under $250.00 out of the box the Mossberg-semi is the deal, and can be found in many gun stores across Canada in the used or consignment racks for a song at under $100.00.

More modern I'd go for the Marlin 7000:

Since I can't afford to spend over $250 on a .22 I can't help you much in that area...mind you the Browning looks pretty good. :D

Under $250, find yourself a CIL 470 or 300 (made by Anschutz)
Over $250, buy an Anschutz 525

I have personally owned semi's made by Weatherby,Voere,CZ,Winchester,
T/C,Ruger,Beretta,AMT, and Anschutz. All of these are fine rifles, but the most accurate out of the box of these rifles, without out doubt, was the 525 and the 470.

I offer another vote for the Marlin 7000. Mine shoots great right out of the box. You may find the trigger a bit stiff at first, but it gets smoother with use.

Ya a Marlin 60,70,7000 would be what you want .. Alot more accurate then a 10/22 and cheaper as well ... If you get a Marlin Shoot CCI Blazers you will be impressed right out of the box.
