What can be bought in crates for cheap around here? Looking at my range floor, I can see mostly 303 brit, 30-06 and 7.62 NATO spent casings. Are they the cheapest or just most popular?

308 can be hard relatively cheap. Portugese 200 round sleeves sell for $65 at districorp. 30-06 unless you reload its expensive to feed. I was paying $17 -20 rounds of commercial 150gr 30-06

7.62x39 and 7.62x54r seem to be the cheapest

The smartass answer would be .22LR that they use in training rifles.

Really though 7.62x39 is probably the cheapest milsurp ammo.

at my range the common brass is 3006, 308, 3030 and 270. 3006 is cheaper to reload, i can do a reload for 0.24 each and that is buying the fmj bullet.:D
