a pine Martin......ya like they really exist.

Of course it's a juvenile Sasquatch , I was just kidding with the mythical martin

Maybe a curious raccoon? Ive had a moose curiously lick one of mine before, didn't chew it like that but it did chew apart the strap holding it to the tree dropping it to the ground.

Petroleum jelly cayenne pepper mix smear on the wires then in the next 24 hr check for butt dragging trails .
Electric fence box and some snair wire wrapped around the cable will get there attention . Dang critters !!

Squirrels have eaten the black plastic fuel cap on my lawn boy mower. Also the cover on one of my plastic garbage cans. Not just marks I mean they chewed holes right through.

If it is made with the same plastic as electrical wiring in new autos the mice love the taste and smell.

Chew through anything.

I had a groundhog get into my garage at the cottage and chew up the red primer bulb on my lawn mower. Squirrels and chipmunks have done their fair share chewing damage over the years as well.
