To clarify, Xtra Wood is a film applied on walnut. Most Xtra Grain is laser etched/burned, but some models had a film. I believe some Franchi’s used a film. While I’m not a fan of either, the laser finish is much nicer then the film finish.

The premise of the post remains the same, Fonex can be one of two things...a film applied to synthetic stocks or a film applied to walnut. If the gun has fonex walnut, this is a wood stock
