Hi guys one of my buddys wants to sell his rifle.
It’s a browning bolt action in 338 win mag, he’s about 75 and barely used it and now it’s a lil much for his shoulder. It comes with 6 boxes anyhow here’s some pics.

I don’t really deal in this type of rifle, mainly milsurps and bubba hunting rifles! lol
I might buy it or maybe not I love my 8MM.

BbR? Abolt? Scope? The ammo is the kicker. Hard to find, depending on where you are. Without any more info on the scope, I would say 1500, with the ammo

Leupold scope of some sort?
50mm objective.
Three hundred bucks werd'oh ammo.
Scope is gonna be awl that above sentence.
So 6 brown ones and no rifle, rings'n basis.

Yeah, $1500 t''ain't too far awf les bewls eye.

Post numero twah, git thuh soap owt yer eyes.

Alrighty thanks so much guys! Super helpful! I was looking at todays prices and the bullets seem to be damn near 100$ a box. He’s gonna keep the leopold scope though. So I’m figurin I’ll post it for 1400$ obo.

Keep in mind Canadians are some of the cheapest bastards on the planet and will low ball you no matter how good of a deal you offer. Some are great, most are painfully cheap.

Based on what I can see it is the abolt 1. Great well built rifles. Without getting a closer look at it I would say to start in the $12-1500 range at current used prices without the scope. I had a 338 around the same time as this ammo was purchased and the ammo has more than doubled in price since then.

Quality pictures and accurate descriptions are a requirement for accurate responses ...

If you click on the pics they are bigger and clearer. I didn't realize at first they were click able.

I'm not terribly familiar with older brownings, but I've seen a fair number of abolts on the EE in 338mag and they seem to sit for quite a while if they're priced much north of $1000.

About 1200$ tops it's easy to quote prices when talking g on a chat forum the selling reality is a different game
Just go on ee and see what is not selling sako 85's that are not selling for 1300$

Definitely appears to be the second generation A Bolt Hunter.
Looks to be missing part of rear sight?
Good rifles that typically gave good accuracy.
Make someone a dandy elk rifle!

And with a good supply of ammo.
Just hope they don't have to ship the ammo; costly deterrent for many that can affect sale of the ammo at least.
